Now a Program Manager on Telligent's Product Team

For the past 1.5 years I had served as Telligent's project manager on Microsoft's ASP.NET and Silverlight.NET developer community sites.  As announced here, Telligent and Microsoft mutually agreed to transition the site management to another company.  This transition was complete on September 30 and I moved immediately to Telligent's product team as a Program Manager, reporting to Josh Ledgard.  While there is an emotional component to any transition, in particular because I have a long (6+ years) history with the ASP.NET website, it is with great excitement that I am becoming a member of the Product Team.

When I had read Josh's blog post "Creating a New Breed of PMs at Telligent", I knew (or at least had hoped) that future was in my path.  I've had a lot of experience managing and spec'ing projects in my 3+ years at Telligent, have a development background, and had the good fortune of reporting to Josh for about 9 months before he left my team to move on to be Telligent's Director of Program Management.  With Intel's recent $20 million capital investment in Telligent, we as a company are focused on continuing to build superior social computing solutions and business intelligence tools, and I am proud to be a part of the effort!

My initial focus will be with our performance team, working with them to define performance scenarios, reporting, and improvements to help Community Server and our other products work as sharply and responsively as possible.  I'll also have a presence in the forums at http://dev.communityserver.org/, as I gather feedback and help our customers.  I will be picking up additional responsibilities as I become fully assimilated into the product team, and I will be blogging more here to share my progress and experiences.

Best of wishes to you in all your endeavors. And hey...if you guys(no gender specific) ever want some help from outside of TX feel free to let me know :}
